had our first dinner in prague at this vaulted underground tavern near the hotel:



they had several vegetarian options, but only a couple vegan possibilities. luca and i both ordered pasta with smoked tempeh and sun-dried tomatoes. it was quite a wait for the food to be served, but it totally hit the spot. the pasta was wide noodles (hopefully egg-free!) with good, though somewhat canned tasting olives, small pieces of tempeh whose consistency were more like a cross between tofu and tempeh - wonderful smoky flavor - very nice sun-dried tomatoes, and spinach. wonderful combination of textures and flavors and salted to perfection:



it was just the right amount of food, too, and we ate every last bite. it would have been nice, however, if they had offered us some nice crusty bread to go with it. they had organic teas, which we sipped before heading back out into the chilly evening air:
